What is the maximum group size allowed?
Strictly up to 13 passengers. This is a United States Coast Guard regulation for recreational bareboat charters and includes all guests, regardless of age.
What exactly is a Bareboat Charter?
A bareboat charter means you rent the vessel itself and act as temporary owner during the rental period. You are responsible for hiring a qualified captain and crew independently, and we provide a roster of vetted, pre-approved Captains.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes, USCG-approved Type 1 life jackets are provided for every passenger. Children under 13 must wear a life jacket while the vessel is underway.
What is the appropriate attire?
We recommend Yachting Casual: swimwear with cover-ups, light linens, and comfortable resort wear. Shoes are collected before boarding to protect the teak decks.
What should we bring?
Bring your own towels, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen. Spray sunscreen, self-tanning oils, denim that may bleed, and hard-sided coolers are prohibited.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. You are welcome to bring pre-prepared food and beverages. We provide ice, water, and soft drinks, and premium catering can be arranged through Add-Ons.
What is your alcohol policy?
BYOB is permitted for guests 21 and older. Red wine and dark, staining beverages are prohibited, and the Captain may terminate the charter without refund if behavior becomes unsafe.
How do I book my charter?
Choose your yacht, date, time, and package, then submit the booking request. After availability is confirmed, you receive the handoff for captain selection, digital agreements, and deposit collection.
What happens if we arrive late?
Your charter begins at the scheduled time. Late arrivals cannot be extended or refunded, so we recommend arriving 15-30 minutes prior to departure.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 72 hours before departure receive a refund minus processing fees. Within 72 hours, cancellations are non-refundable. Only the Captain can cancel for unsafe weather, which triggers a refund or reschedule option.
Is there a damage deposit?
Yes. A $1,000 security deposit hold is placed on the day of charter and released after the vessel returns safely and undamaged. Bank release timing may take 3-5 business days.
Do I need to sign a liability waiver?
Yes. Every passenger must sign a digital liability waiver before boarding. The confirmation email includes a link that can be forwarded to your group.
Are there benefits to booking on a weekday?
Yes. Monday through Thursday charters usually offer less boat traffic, better anchoring options, and exclusive discounted pricing compared with weekends.
