Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you set sail. Clear answers to ensure your maritime experience is effortless.

The Experience & Regulations

Strictly up to 13 passengers. This is not our rule, but a strict United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulation for recreational bareboat charters. This limit includes all guests, regardless of age, but does not include the Captain and Mate.

A bareboat charter means you are renting the vessel itself, the "bare boat". By law, you act as the temporary owner during your rental period. Consequently, you are responsible for hiring a qualified captain and crew independently. We provide a roster of highly vetted, pre-approved Captains for you to choose from to make this process seamless.

Yes, USCG-approved Type 1 life jackets are provided for every passenger on board. Please note that USCG regulations require all children under the age of 13 to wear a life jacket at all times while the vessel is underway.

Preparation & Logistics

We recommend Yachting Casual: swimwear with cover-ups, light linens, and comfortable resort wear. Important: all of our yachts maintain a strict barefoot policy to protect the teak decks. Shoes will be collected and stored safely in a basket before boarding.

Please bring your own towels, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen. Prohibited items: spray sunscreen, self-tanning oils, denim that may bleed, and hard-sided coolers.

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own pre-prepared food and beverages. We provide ice, water, and soft drinks. If you prefer a completely effortless experience, explore our Add-Ons page to arrange high-end catering and provisioning prior to your arrival.

BYOB is permitted for guests 21 and older. However, red wine and dark, staining beverages are strictly prohibited on board to protect the upholstery and teak. The Captain reserves the right to terminate the charter without refund if behavior becomes unsafe.

Policies & Booking

Booking is simple. Browse our Yachts section, select your preferred vessel, choose your date and time duration, and submit the secure booking request. You will receive a confirmation handoff with the next steps for captain selection, agreements, and deposit collection after the admin team confirms availability.

Your charter time begins promptly at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the missed time cannot be extended or refunded, as the yacht may be booked for another group immediately after you. We strongly advise arriving 15-30 minutes prior to departure.

Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the charter start time will receive a full refund, minus a small credit card processing fee. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. Weather Policy: only the Captain can cancel a charter due to unsafe weather conditions. If this occurs, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Yes. A $1,000 security deposit hold will be placed on your credit card on the day of the charter. This hold is released immediately upon the safe and undamaged return of the vessel, though it may take your bank 3-5 business days to reflect the release.

Yes. Every passenger, including guests of the primary charterer, must sign a digital liability waiver prior to boarding. A link will be provided in your confirmation email, which you can easily forward to your group.

Absolutely. Weekday charters from Monday through Thursday offer a more exclusive experience with significantly less boat traffic, prime anchoring spots at popular sandbars, and exclusive discounted pricing compared to weekend rates.
